You've had frozen, chocolate covered bananas before right? Well, I'll bet they were nothing like these!
You can do these as half, thirds or even bite sized bananas if you like.
First cut the bananas to whatever size you want them, skewer them with a popsicle stick and put in the freezer for about an hour. Best to put them on wax paper. Just before you pull them out of the freezer, warm some peanut butter to a nice thin consistency. Dip the bananas in the peanut butter and put back into the freezer for about another hour. Again, just before you pull them out of the freezer again, gently melt chocolate of your choice (I almost always use dark or semisweet) and crush up some of your favorite granola (just so that there aren't any chunks that are too large and unmanageable). Then, you guessed it, dip the peanut buttery bananas in the chocolate, wait just a few seconds and dunk in the granola. Place the bananas back in the freezer until the chocolate is hard enough that you can put them all in a plastic baggie until you're ready to eat them!
I also like to do this with yogurt, chocolate and toasted coconut! Remember if you toast coconut, keep an eye on it. It doesn't take long and it burns very quickly!
