I'm having a hard time getting mine into the habit of letting me brush his teeth. It's my own fault because until recently, I was afraid to be aggressive and just get it done, no matter how much he protested. How have other parents dealt with this kind of situation?

With my oldest I gave him a toothbrush and just let him chew on it when I wanted to get his teeth brushed. But with the other 2 I tried to brush them myself. It never worked like I wanted. I think my older son had cleaner teeth than the 2 that I did just because he did it!!

Brushing you child's teeth will only make him afraid of it, especially if you do the it vigorously. Try making it as a fun habit together with you, do it at that same time.
