Please share how you introduced potty training to you child, what stage you're at and how you handled potty training away from home.

It's been awhile but I did all 3 of my kids the same way and it worked and worked quickly!!! I let them pick out their new big girl or boy undies. They always chose the kind with their favorite characters. Then when we got home they helped wash them and get them ready for their new spot in the dresser. When we decided they were ready I would have a talk with them about not pottying on Pooh Bear or whoever was on the undies. I never used pullups. The kids don't feel the wetness with pullups. They need to know when they wet and that it feels yucky. They always used our regular toilet. I never had a potty chair. It made it easier for when we were away from home. They weren't afraid of the big toilet because they had always used one. I did wait until my kids had turned 2 before I started. And once I started it was total devotion on them and me. My oldest potty trained in 2 weeks, my daughter took 1 day!!!~I'm not kidding~one day!!! She had one accident and didn't like how it felt and never did it again!!! My youngest took 2 weeks also. He had the urinating down pat. He used to stand in the tub and pretend he was the firehose and spray down the fires....if ya know what I mean! I think our kids potty trained easily because I didn't stress over it. I've seen parents stress over it and it only stressed the child which made it harder for the kiddo!
